TOMÁS CARDOSO TAVEIRA, graduated in Architecture at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa with a grade of 18 over 20. He was conferred a grade of 20 over 20 on the thesis he presented at the end of the course.


He was Vice-President and President  of the school  Architecture of Lisbon (FA/UTL) during several years.


He has theoretical works published in specialty magazines and newspapers, from which we can highlight the magazines Domus, Progressive Architecture and Arquitectura Portuguesa, Revista LUI, A+U, Emois, etc.


In 1991, the Academy Editions of London and the St. Martin Press of New York published a book about his work.


In November 1994, the Academy Editions (London) published no. 37 of Architectural Monographs entirely dedicated to his works.


In November 2002 the Artmedia Press (London) published a book named “ Tomás Taveira” about his work, and in 2004 the Artemedia Press published a book named “ Taveira Sports Architecture”, about his work on Sports Facilities.


His architecture is visible in Portugal, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Macau, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Brazil, Rússia, Algeria, etc.. He and Is Firm works with the Best Engineering Firms all over the World.
